Highway 1 briefly closed in Abbotsford overnight after alcohol-involved crash
ABBOTSFORD – Police in Abbotsford say Highway 1 westbound through Abbotsford was closed for a brief duration early Wednesday morning after an alcohol-involved collision resulted in a car fire.
According to a brief statement from police, the accident happened sometime after 2 a.m., resulting in the closure of Hwy. 1 w/b between McCallum Road and Clearbrook Road.
Police notified the public about the crash at 2:23 a.m. on X/Twitter.
Police say alcohol is a factor in the crash.
