Fire breaks out at homeless encampment in Abbotsford

ABBOTSFORD — The site of a fatal shooting Monday night is now the site of a large fire. Thick black smoke is rising from the Whatcom Road Park and Ride.

Abbotsford Police have closed North Parallel Road is currently closed in both directions between Whatcom Road and Fooks Road to allow emergency crews to deal with the fire that broke out early Thursday afternoon.
