Chilliwack concert promises trio of talent

CHILLIWACK — Internationally recognized Trio Fibonacci will present a concert blending classical and contemporary music April 16 at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre.

The concert, titled ‘A Symphony of Emotion’, will feature works inspired by composers Ludwig van Beethoven and Ludovico Einaudi.

It will include a new adaptation of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony and will feature violinist Julie-Anne Derome, pianist Maxim Shatalkin and cellist Gabriel Prynn. The group is based out of Montreal.

Founded in 1998, Trio Fibonacci is known for interpretations of the piano trio repertoire. The ensemble has built a reputation for technical precision and a wide-ranging program that combines traditional classical works with more contemporary material.
