ABBOTSFORD — One man is dead after a late-night shooting at an Abbotsford park-and-ride lot that is home to a large homeless encampment.
Abbotsford Police say they received a call reporting shots being fired at the Whatcom Road Park and Ride at 11:11 p.m. on Monday (March 23). Officers found a man suffering from serious, life-threatening injuries.
The victim was taken to the hospital but couldn’t overcome his wounds and died.
The investigation is considered to be in its early stages. Additional resources have been assigned to determine the circumstances around what police suggest was a targeted event. No arrests had been made.
