No risk to the public after shots fired at Surrey park: SPS
SURREY — Investigators are looking into a shots-fired incident that sent one man to hospital on Friday morning.
At around 6 a.m., the Surrey Police Service (SPS) responded and searched around Bear Creek Park and nearby homes near the 13700 block of 88 Avenue.
It wasn’t until 6:30 a.m. that hospital staff called police about a man arriving in emergency with a gunshot wound believed to be non-life-threatening.
The SPS will be interviewing the apparent victim while frontline officers gather evidence and find the exact location of the shooting.
