B.C. Conservative leadership candidate visits Chilliwack, Abbotsford this weekend

CHILLIWACK — Peter Milobar is now the latest candidate to ramp up campaign efforts ahead of the spring Conservative leadership race in B.C.

The Conservative finance critic is coming to talk safety, money and property in Chilliwack and Abbotsford this weekend.

“Peter comes with a message of hope, patriotism, and a desire to hear from you personally,” read his event page. “He wants to listen to your ideas on how we can win back B.C.”

He hosted one meet-and-greet at Hofstede’s Country Barn in the morning, but the MLA is also set to host another from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Kelly O’Bryan’s Neighbourhood Restaurant on 45610 Luckakuck Way.

Milobar will be at The Crossroads in Abbotsford from 10 a.m. to noon tomorrow, March 21.

A Mainstreet Research survey says Milobar would be the only candidate to secure a majority government, in its recent poll of 1,054 adults in B.C.

He is now the only sitting legislator still in the race after Abbotsford MLAs Bruce Banman and Harman Bhangu renounced their candidacies in support of another.
