Abbotsford police make arrest in domestic violence investigation during busy weekend of calls

ABBOTSFORD — Abbotsford police had a busy Sunday that including a domestic violence complaint at a home on Hawthorne Avenue.
In a release, AbbyPD says a man was arrested as part of an Intimate Partner Violence investigation on Hawthorne Avenue. The victim in the case did not suffer serious injuries.
Social media posts appear to show one suspect being taken into custody around 2 p.m. without incident.
It was one of six Intimate Partner Violence reports received by Abbotsford Police over the weekend. Officers also dealt with six assaults, 18 thefts, two break and enters and six missing person reports.
