ABBOTSFORD — Abbotsford police arrested one man following a serious incident involving the threat of weapons at the Abbotsford Hospital.
Police say they were called to the hospital on Monday around 2 p.m. following a complaint about a person thought to have a gun in the building.
The hospital was placed in a lockdown as more than 30 police officers scoured the building to identify the danger.
Following a full search of the hospital, police determined the suspect had left the hospital and lifted the lockdown around 3:15 p.m. The man was taken into custody several blocks from the hospital near the intersection of Simon Avenue and Cruickshank Street.
