ABBOTSFORD — Abbotsford-South MLA Bruce Banman has taken his name out of the B.C. Tory leadership race in favour of another – Yuri Fulmer.

“Yuri is the real deal,” said Banman. “He’s a true conservative who understands exactly what it is going to take to get our province back on track. […] Yuri is the only candidate with a proven track record in the private sector who understands business, the economy, and real leadership.”

Banman himself was a chiropractor and small business owner prior to entering politics, when he served both the City of Abbotsford and provincial governance as the BC Conservative Critic for Government Accountability and Emerging Issues.

“Just like me, Yuri decided to run for this party when we were polling well behind the establishment parties. […] His unwavering commitment as a true Conservative, backed up by his experience as a successful and self-made businessman are why I believe he is the only choice to lead this party, and our province, forward.”
