Maple Ridge senior in mobility scooter struck by car dies in hospital
MAPLE RIDGE — The victim of a serious pedestrian collision early this week has since passed away in hospital, according to police in Maple Ridge.
On Monday afternoon, March 9, Ridge Meadows RCMP was dispatched after a senior on a mobility scooter was struck by a car at the intersection of 119 Avenue and 228 Street.
The 91-year-old was then taken to hospital in serious condition.
Police reported on Thursday that he had succumbed to his injuries, marking the second fatal pedestrian collision of the year in Maple Ridge.
