ABBOTSFORD — A spokesperson for the Abbotsford PD says a man has been arrested and remains in custody for his alleged role in a break and enter at a business on Auguston Parkway.

Sgt. Paul Walker tells Fraser Valley Today that AbbyPD officers were called to a reported break and enter at a business in the 36300 block of Auguston Parkway at 9:09 p.m. Sunday night, where an ATM had been stolen.

On arrival, the suspects had already fled the area where the crime occurred. The business sustained damage from the break-in.

Police received a tip from an alert citizen at 9:41 p.m., telling them about a suspicious vehicle near Wells Gray Avenue and McKinley Drive. AbbyPD frontline officers teamed up with Air 1 and the Lower Mainland Integrated Police Dog Service Area to attend the area and locate a vehicle that was later confirmed to be stolen and linked to the break-in in Auguston.
