Three facing charges after multiple police stops in Maple Ridge, Surrey

LOWER MAINLAND — Charges have now been filed after the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of BC (CFSEU-BC) proactively pulled over three individuals in the Lower Mainland recently.

On December 17, 2025, in Maple Ridge, Uniform Gang Enforcement Team (UGET) officers attempted a traffic stop that resulted in the arrest of one man.

Joshua Charles Lanksbury Redman, who was previously charged with multiple offences, including assault, now also faces two counts of dangerous operation of a conveyance, as well as flight from police as of February 26.

Charges were laid on the same day against 23-year-old Gursevak Singh Nagra for driving while prohibited, following a traffic stop in Surrey earlier in February.

Another Surrey driver is facing charges following a traffic stop in November last year for offences including possession of a firearm while prohibited, careless use of a firearm, having another person’s identity document without lawful excuse and impersonation to avoid arrest.

“Proactive enforcement by our Uniform Gang Enforcement Team continues to play a critical role in identifying criminal activity and holding offenders accountable,” said Sgt. Sarbjit K. Sangha, media relations officer for CFSEU-BC.

“These charges demonstrate the commitment of our officers to uncover serious offences that pose risks to public safety.”

All three men are expected to appear in court at a later date.
