No arrests made after pepper spray deployed inside Abbotsford gym: AbbyPD

ABBOTSFORD – A spokesperson for the Abbotsford Police Department says an Abbotsford gym was evacuated Tuesday afternoon after pepper spray was deployed due to a disturbance between parties known to each other.

AbbyPD Sgt. Paul Walker says police were notified at 3:50 p.m. Tuesday (Mar. 3) about a report of pepper spray discharged inside Club 16.

“Early indications suggest that a disturbance between parties know to each other occurred within the gym,” Sgt. Walker said.

The gym was evacuated as a result of the pepper spray being deployed inside while the decontamination process and venting occurred.

There were no injuries suffered during the incident, and no one was arrested, Sgt. Walker said.
