19-year-old driver arrested for alleged impairment after multiple crashes destroy her car: Abbotsford PD

ABBOTSFORD – Police in Abbotsford say a 19-year-old woman has been arrested for her alleged role in a hit and run incident where she struck a building in Abbotsford before fleeing and hitting two more vehicles on Highway 1.

According to a brief weekend recap, Abbotsford PD spokesperson Sgt. Paul Walker says police responded to a reported hit and run involving a motorist of a black vehicle who collided with a building on Marshall Road.

Before police arrived, however, she allegedly fled onto Highway 1 where she hit two more vehicles.

Sgt. Walker says the 19-year-old female driver was subsequently arrested for impaired driving, hit and run, and dangerous driving.

Criminal charges are forthcoming, and no serious injuries occurred.

The female driver has no criminal history as an adult, and she is not from Abbotsford, Sgt. Walker said.
