Grand opening date set for new Chilliwack warehouse store

CHILLIWACK – Chilliwack’s newest warehouse plans to hold a grand opening celebration in less than two weeks.

According to its social media page, Uncle Wiener’s Wholesale will officially open its Chilliwack location on Saturday, March 7 at 9 a.m. It is located at 110-7955 Evans Road near the Evans roundabout.

Uncle Wiener’s Wholesale, which proudly touts itself as being Canadian-owned, says it offers Canadians competitive prices on all types of goods tailored to contractors, hunters, small shop owners and weekend warriors.

“Uncle Wiener’s Wholesale offers Canadians unbeatable prices on skid steer attachments, fencing, carports, and industrial tools. From outdoor camping burners to heavy-duty storage buildings, we bring high-quality gear straight to your door — without the retail markup,” its website said.

It says it’s been serving Western Canada since 2017 and ships products nationwide.

On its grand opening date next month, the community is invited to swing by for free hot dogs and drinks all days, gifts, giveaways, contests, flash sales throughout the day, door crasher shelves, a “Wiener Binz” treasure hunt area, and 10 per cent off store-wide inventory.

“Whether you’re shopping for tools, home goods, outdoor gear, business supplies, or just love a good treasure hunt — this is your day. We got wholesale prices for everyone!” the company wrote. “Come early. Deals won’t wait. Come in. Score big.”

The company had been hiring for sales and warehouse associate featuring starting wages between $20 and $22 an hour, which exceeds British Columbia’s minimum wage of $17.85 an hour.

It currently has over 18 locations spanning three provinces, including Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Regina, Saskatoon, Lethbridge, and throughout Alberta. Its hours are typically 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, closed on Sunday.
