CHILLIWACK — Students looking to get into a more manually fulfilling career are invited to an upcoming event focused on hands-on learning this week.

The University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) is hosting a free open house on Thursday, February 26, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Chilliwack.

Trades and technology, health sciences, and agriculture programs will headline the in-person event, each bringing unique representations of its program.

Visitors can tour shops and teaching kitchens at the Trades and Technology Centre, or look at the latest agricultural innovations at the Agriculture Centre.

Health Sciences prospectives are also welcome to observe live demonstrations of clinical techniques and health care practices, as well as to tour nursing, dental and kinesiology labs on campus.

“UFV’s Chilliwack campus is home to specialized facilities that support experiential learning and career-ready education,” said UFV. “Open House gives prospective students a chance to explore their options and imagine their future in a dynamic learning environment.”

The UFV Chilliwack campus is located at Canada Education Park. More details are available through the event webpage.
