Lane closure ahead for Highway 1 through Abbotsford this week

ABBOTSFORD — DriveBC has issued a reminder for eastbound drivers through Abbotsford along Highway 1 this week.

A tree-clearing operation is scheduled between the McCallum Road exit (number 90) and Riverside Road. Crews will be clearing a 1.5 km stretch of trees along the roadway.

Work will be limited to overnight hours to minimize the impact on traffic. Beginning Monday (Feb. 16), work crews will block the right lane and shoulder of the highway from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Work is expected to continue nightly until March 7.
