Chilliwack-area home sales drop double digits in January year-over-year
CHILLIWACK – The sale of single-family detached homes in the greater Chilliwack area fell by nearly 20 per cent year over year in January as inventory levels remain high amid an entrenched buyer’s market.
According to the latest sales numbers from Zealty.ca, a real estate brokerage operated by Hollywell Properties, only 66 single-family detached homes sold in January 2026, a drop of 19.5 per cent from January 2025 when 81 single-family detached homes.
Of the 66 single-family detached homes that sold in January, 26 were $799,999 or less, while eight were between $800K and $899,999, seven fell between $900,000-$999,999, 13 were between $1 million and $1,249,999, and eight were between $1,250,000 and $1,499,999. Only four sold for $1.5 million or higher.
There were 556 single-family detached homes for sale in January, but only 66 sold (11.7 per cent).
