23-year-old impaired driver arrested after allegedly crashing into Abbotsford home

ABBOTSFORD – Police in Abbotsford say a 23-year-old female driver has been arrested after she allegedly crashed into a home while driving impaired early Sunday morning.

According to a social media post, Abbotsford Police officers responded to a serious collision at approximately 12:27 a.m. involving a vehicle that crashed into a residence in the 3700 block of Nanaimo Crescent.

Officers arrived on scene and identified the driver as a 23-year-old female who was impaired by alcohol. Police say she was arrested for impaired driving and was found to be more than twice the legal limit.

No one inside the home was injured.

The incident marks the 13th impaired driver removed from Abbotsford roads this weekend alone. Between January 1 and February 7, AbbyPD has taken 116 impaired drivers off the road.

Criminal charges are being recommended in this morning’s incident.
