CHILLIWACK — Multiple police units and ERT personnel have attended a home near Landing Drive in Chilliwack Monday afternoon.

According to a witness on scene, multiple police units, including what appears to be an Emergency Response Team (ERT) armoured truck, were seen at a home close to Landing Drive.

Chilliwack RCMP spokesperson Corporal Carmen Kiener released a brief statement about the police incident in response to an inquiry from Fraser Valley Today.

“Yes, I can confirm there was a police incident near McCammon Elementary earlier today. It was the result of an incident nearby that resulted in the hold and secure, out of an abundance of caution for the safety of those inside,” Cpl. Kiener said. “The incident has been resolved and we won’t be releasing any further information. It was a contained situation between parties that were known to each other.”
