FVRD online building permit system goes live

FRASER VALLEY — Property owners and builders may not have to sit in application limbo too long as the Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) launches its new online building permit system.

Users will be able to track their review progress, submit revisions and receive approvals after handing in their applications online through the myFVRD portal.

The change affects all applicants within the District’s Electoral Areas, Harrison Hot Springs or Cultus Lake Park Board area.

“Time is a precious commodity for everyone,” said Patricia Ross, FVRD board chair. “Moving to an online system that offers numerous benefits and efficiencies for building permit applicants is essential.”

Paper applications will be accepted until February 28, 2026, to ease transition into the new digital process.
