Suspect charged in three-day armed robbery spree in Maple Ridge and Langley

MAPLE RIDGE — Ridge Meadows RCMP says a Langley man has now been charged in a multi-jurisdictional robbery spree last month involving an imitation firearm.

Between December 5 and 7, 2025, two RCMP detachments received six reports of robbery believed to be by the same suspect.

Four of the incidents took place in Maple Ridge, with the other two in Langley.

Staff and customers from multiple businesses had similar suspect descriptions and reported he was armed, though no one sustained any physical injuries.

The BC Prosecution Service has since laid several charges against 24-year-old Cole Mercer, including four counts each of robbery and the use of an imitation firearm, as well as one count each of theft and possession of stolen property.

Mercer is set to appear in court again on February 5.
