UPDATE: Abbotsford Police arrest man Wednesday night due to breach related to intimate partner violence

UPDATE: Abbotsford PD spokesperson Sgt. Paul Walker has confirmed the man wanted for breaching his conditions related to intimate partner violence has been arrested.

ABBOTSFORD — The Abbotsford Police Department has dispatched multiple officers as part of an operational deployment Wednesday night at a home on McMillan Road near Marcet Court in Abbotsford.

In a brief statement posted to social media at 8:22 p.m. Wednesday, the AbbyPD says police are attempting to arrest a man inside the McMillan Road home for breaching his court-ordered conditions related to intimate partner violence.

Police say the situation is contained to the residence, and there is no risk to the public in the surrounding area.

Police shared a picture on social media that shows at least 3-4 officers parked outside the area of McMillan Road and Marcet Court, though there could be other officers in other locations.

Police have released no other details at this time.

The area of the unfolding incident is located northeast of Sumas Way/Highway 11 and Highway 1.
