CHILLIWACK — A sweet, playful cat is looking for a new home after being taken care of at the Chilliwack Animal Safe Haven for the past 1,300 days.

Chilliwack Animal Safe Haven, located at 49843 Chilliwack Central Road, posted on social media Tuesday evening that Lizzie the cat is one of their longest residents there, having been there for about 1,300 days, or a little over 3.5 years.

“Let’s get this beautiful girl adopted! These soulful eyes show a sweet, playful cat so soft to the touch,” wrote Chilliwack Animal Safe Haven, which is dedicated to saving homeless cats and finding them loving homes.

The animal haven points out that Lizzy requires some daily medicine but handles it like a pro.

“Lizzy does need one ‘vitamin’ a day but she takes it like a trooper. Please, someone, give her a chance! You won’t regret it. If one cat is your goal she can accommodate!” the animal haven wrote.

Christy Moschopedis, manager of the Chilliwack Animal Safe Haven, says Lizzie could use a new home given how long she’s been there.

“She is one of my favourite cats at the shelter and any help to find her a family is so appreciated. She’s been with us for far too long,” Moschopedis said.
