Abbotsford police remind Boxing Day shoppers to protect their purchases
ABBOTSFORD — Boxing Day is often one of the busiest shopping days of the year at stores and malls across the Fraser Valley. Abbotsford Police are reminding shoppers that thieves recognize the importance of the day too.
To avoid becoming a victim, police say shoppers should also keep their vehicles locked when in the store shopping. And if you have already purchased some of the Boxing Day deals, keep your bags and any other valuables out of sight or better yet, take them directly home.
Parking in busy and well lit areas are also a deterrent for would-be thieves.
