Abbotsford sets date for curbside pickup of flood-damaged debris
ABBOTSFORD — The City of Abbotsford is reminding residents impacted by flooding earlier this month that a curbside collection is scheduled for Saturday, January 3. Those with flood-damaged household items and debris in the Evacuation Order areas should be ready for pick-up in the morning.
Residents in affected properties should have their items at the curb by 7 a.m. on January 3. Only non-hazardous waste will be picked up. Any loose materials should be bagged. Hazardous materials will be collected later upon request.
Damaged drywall which was manufactured in 1990 or later will be accepted but must be properly bagged. Drywall from before 1990 could contain asbestos and is considered hazardous material and will require separate handling.
