Police appeal for info on suspect who posed as maintenance worker, stole a purse from a seniors home in Surrey
SURREY — Police in Surrey are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who entered a seniors home last week and stole a victim’s purse before leaving.
According to a statement from Surrey Police Service media liaison Ian MacDonald, a suspect posed as a maintenance worker to gain entry to an apartment in the 15500 block of 16 Avenue in Surrey on Monday, Dec. 15 at about 2:10 p.m. Once he got into the apartment building, he accessed a purse and stole it.
Police are describing the suspect as a white male, approximately 5’8″ tall, who was last seen wearing dark pants, a red Under Armour brand hoodie, dark hat and glasses.
