1 male in custody after Wednesday night shooting at Abbotsford business: AbbyPD
ABBOTSFORD — One person is in custody after a confirmed shooting at a business late Wednesday night on King Road in Abbotsford.
According to a statement from AbbyPD spokesperson Sgt. Paul Walker, patrol officers were called at about 10:43 p.m. Wednesday evening, Dec. 17 to the 31000 block of King Road for a reported shooting at a business.
When police arrived, officers confirmed that a shooting had taken place and promptly shared critical details, specifically the suspect vehicle’s description, with other on-duty units, including members of AbbyPD’s Gang Crime Unit (GCU). No one suffered any injuries as a result of this incident.
During the response, a member of the Lower Mainland Integrated Police Dog Service (IPDS) alerted GCU officers to a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle description traveling eastbound on Highway 1 near Whatcom Road.
