UPDATE: The AbbyPD says McCallum Road has reopened following the motor vehicle incident Saturday afternoon. “Thank you for everyone’s patience,” AbbyPD wrote online.

ABBOTSFORD — The Abbotsford Police Department says a section of a major thoroughfare is closed Saturday afternoon due to a motor vehicle collision.

According to a social media post, police say southbound traffic on McCallum Road is closed between King Road and the McCallum Road roundabout at Highway 1 as of 4:02 p.m. due to a crash.

No further details were provided by police, other than a picture of police blocking the roadway.

The Pulse Point app indicates three B.C. EHS ambulances were notified about the accident. Two ambulances arrived to possibly transport any patients from the accident.
