Fraser-Cascade School District closes all schools

HOPE — Fraser-Cascade (School District 78) schools will be closed Thursday (Dec. 11) due to highway closures created by heavy rains and floodwaters in the region.
In a news release, the school district says the move is being made for the safety and well-being of students, which is its highest priority.
The District says it will work with the Ministry of Transportation to determine when travel along roads is safe again and determine a reopening date.
The District oversees the operation of schools in Hope, Harrison Hot Springs, Agassiz, the District of Kent, and north through the Fraser Canyon to Boston Bar.
