Shots fired outside Mission home in what appears to be a targeted hit: RCMP

MISSION — Mounties in Mission say multiple callers reported hearing shots fired overnight outside a home on Kenney Avenue in Mission in what police suspect is a targeted incident.

According to a statement from Mission RCMP spokesperson Corporal Harrison Mohr, Mission RCMP attended and located spent bullet casings outside the home. The incident happened at approximately 2 a.m. There were no reported injuries.

Cpl. Mohr says the house that appears to have been targeted is the same house that was targeted in a similar overnight shooting in April 2024. No one was injured in that incident either, and no arrests were made.

Police say the current investigation is in the early stages, but the motive for the shooting is unknown. No one is in custody or has been arrested.

Witnesses reported seeing a white 4-door sedan speeding away after the shooting. Officers from Mission RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit are now leading the investigation, and have support from the Lower Mainland Integrated Forensic Identification Service.
