Another outage in the Chilliwack area

UPDATE: Power restored for 1,000+ customers south of Chilliwack

UPDATE 4:15 P.M. MONDAY: Power has now been restored for the customers in Lindell Beach, Columbia Valley and the surrounding area.

CHILLIWACK — Amid blustery winds and intermittent downpours, over 1,000 customers south of Chilliwack lost power Monday afternoon.

According to BC Hydro’s online dashboard, 1,028 electric customers in Lindell Beach, Columbia Valley and an area near the U.S.-Canada border lost power at 2:30 p.m.

The unknown cause is under investigation. Crews are on site.
