Man known to police arrested after carjacking early Saturday morning in Abbotsford: AbbyPD
ABBOTSFORD — A spokesperson for the Abbotsford PD has confirmed that a truck was carjacked on Clearbrook Road in West Abbotsford early Saturday morning.
According to a statement from AbbyPD spokesperson Sgt. Paul Walker, AbbyPD patrol officers responded to a reported carjacking on Saturday morning, Dec. 6, shortly before 1:30 a.m., in the 2500 block of Clearbrook Road, just south of South Fraser Way.
The victim told police that he was stopped in the area when three unknown individuals entered his truck and produced a firearm. He was later dropped off in northern rural Abbotsford and was unharmed.
Later that morning, AbbyPD patrol officers located the stolen truck in the area of Marshall Road and Peardonville Road. The vehicle was boxed in, and one man known to police was arrested, Sgt. Walker said.
