ABBOTSFORD — A spokesperson for the Abbotsford Police Department says a 35-year-old male has been arrested and charged for break and enter at a Peardonville Road home in Abbotsford Monday afternoon.

According to a statement from AbbyPD spokesperson Sgt. Paul Walker, AbbyPD officers responded to a report of a break and enter in progress in the 32500 block of Peardonville Road on Monday, Nov. 24 at approximately 2:48 p.m.

Police say the homeowner was away at the time but received an alert from his security camera and promptly notified police.

Officers quickly secured the area and, within minutes of the call, entered the residence with support from the Lower Mainland Integrated Police Dog Service (IPDS).

Once inside, they discovered and arrested a man hiding in the home, later identified as 35-year-old Jaskaran Singh. Singh has since been charged with break and enter in relation to this incident.

“Abbotsford is built on connection—neighbors looking out for neighbors, businesses supporting one another, and a community that cares,” Sgt. Walker said “At AbbyPD, we know that keeping our city safe isn’t something we do alone. It takes all of us working together. As we head into the holiday season, if you see something that doesn’t look or feel right, say something. Whether it’s suspicious activity, property crime, or anything that threatens the safety of our community, your voice can make the difference. Partnerships build trust—and trust drives action. By working together, we can stop crime before it starts and keep Abbotsford safe.”
