CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack firefighters and local paramedics were dispatched to Heritage Park in Chilliwack over the weekend after getting reports that an underage motocross rider may have injured himself riding.

According to scanner traffic, Chilliwack Fire Department Engine 4 and B.C. EHS paramedics were called to 44140 Luckakuck Way Saturday night between 9:45 p.m. and 10 p.m. for reports of an injured 14-year-old male who flipped over his handlebars. Fire crews were advised by dispatch to meet at the back of the building.

Engine 4 crews arrived on scene first at about 9:52 p.m. just prior to paramedics. The first patient was stabilized.

Fire crews then learned there was a second patient, an 18-year-old with a possible femur fracture. Scanner traffic did not indicate whether this individual was also a motocross rider, though it’s possible.

A B.C. EHS spokesperson told Fraser Valley Today there were two patients transported to hospital in stable condition.

“BC Emergency Health Services received a call at 9:45 p.m. on November 22, 2025, about a person in need of medical assistance in the 44100 block of Luckakuck Way in Chilliwack. An ambulance with primary care paramedics and an ambulance with advanced care paramedics responded to the scene. Paramedics provided emergency medical treatment to one patient who was transported to hospital in stable condition,” said Paramedic Public Information Officer Brian Twaites.

At 9:59 p.m. on November 22, BC Emergency Health Services says they received a call about another person in need of medical assistance in the 44100 block of Luckakuck Way in Chilliwack.

“An ambulance with primary care paramedics and an ambulance with advanced care paramedics responded to the scene. Paramedics provided emergency medical treatment to one patient who was transported to hospital in stable condition,” said Twaites.

Chilliwack RCMP members were not called to Heritage Park to investigate the incident, Sgt. Alexandra Greenley (formerly Mulvihill) told Fraser Valley Today.
