Chilliwack RCMP confirm overnight stabbing

CHILLIWACK — A spokesperson for the Chilliwack RCMP has confirmed that police were called to Ruth and Naomi’s for a report of a male who was stabbed overnight, though the assault did not occur at RAN.
According to a statement from RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Alexandra Mulvihill, police were dispatched at 2:30 a.m. to RAN where a victim was located with non-life-threatening injuries. The man was transported to hospital via ground ambulance.
Sgt. Mulvihill says the victim was uncooperative with police and would provide no details on who the suspect may be or a motive for the attack.
Police were able to determine that the assault occurred away from Ruth and Naomi’s and the victim walked there to obtain assistance.
