Abbotsford Police investigating targeted shooting involving 2 cars hit by gunfire, linked to extortion
ABBOTSFORD — Police in Abbotsford say two unoccupied vehicles were struck by gunfire in a driveway in a targeted incident linked to ongoing extortion schemes.
According to a statement from AbbyPD spokesperson Sgt. Paul Walker, AbbyPD patrol officers responded at 3:43 a.m. to reports of shots fired in the 2500 block of Janzen Street. When officers arrived in the area, they located two vehicles in a residential driveway that were hit by gunfire.
No injuries have been reported.
“Thankfully, the occupants inside the home—who were asleep at the time—were unharmed,” Sgt. Walker said.
