CHILLIWACK — Mounties in Chilliwack are asking for help locating a 56-year-old Chilliwack man who has not had contact with friends or family for an extended period of time.

According to a statement from Chilliwack RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Alexandra Mulvihill, Robert DeFreshnes was reported missing on Thursday, Nov. 13. Since the report, police have now confirmed that DeFreshnes attended a business in the 900 block of West Broadway in Vancouver at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13.

DeFreshnes is described as a 56-year-old Caucasian male, 5’7”, 120 pounds, thin build, dark hair with a red tint, and brown eyes. DeFreshnes is known to wear black clothing, a baseball hat, a hood over the top, and black runners. Police and family are concerned for his health and well-being.

Sgt. Mulvihill says it is out of character for DeFreshnes to be out of touch this long. DeFreshnes is known to frequent the areas of the Downtown Eastside, Fairview and Mount Pleasant neighbourhoods, and the Commercial Drive area in Vancouver.
