Adult, youth transported to hospital after quad accident in Chilliwack River Valley Sunday
CHILLIWACK — Two people were transported to hospital Sunday afternoon with minor injuries following a quad ATV accident in the Chilliwack River Valley.
Provincial Health Services Authority spokesperson Alicia Pillay told Fraser Valley Today in an emailed statement that B.C. Emergency Health Services paramedics received a call at 4:13 p.m. Sunday about an incident on Liumchen Creek Forest Service Road. One ambulance was dispatched and paramedics cared for two patients who were transported to the hospital in stable condition.
In response to an email from Fraser Valley Today, Upper Fraser Valley RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Alexandra Mulvihill confirmed the incident involved quads (ATVs).
“Yes, we did have a file called in to us at 4:18 p.m. It was a quad’ing accident where an adult female and youth male were injured,” Sgt. Mulvihill said. “Both suffered minor injuries and were transported to hospital.”
