LANGLEY — The federal government is looking to hit a high note in the Township of Langley with a major investment at its local event hub.

Up to $25 million will be going towards the new multi-purpose, net-zero Concert and Performance Hall at Langley Events Centre.

“So many members of our community have long advocated for a concert and performance hall,” said Township Mayor Eric Woodward.

“This new space will be more than a venue for world-class arts and cultural events—it will be a community gathering place where our students can proudly cross the stage at high school graduations, and where residents of all ages can come together to celebrate creativity, achievement, and community spirit.”

Woodward added that the design-build process began a few months ago and that the facility could house up to 1,600 seats.

The investment is part of a national effort to support sustainable infrastructure projects as outlined in Budget 2025.

“Arts and culture bring people together and reflect who we are […] The Concert and Performance Hall at Langley Events Centre will be a hub for collaboration, cultural celebration, and artistic expression for all people in the Fraser Valley,” said Gregor Robertson, minister of housing and infrastructure.

Work is underway to finalize the facility’s size, scope, and components for public input and consideration by the Township Council.

The Build Communities Strong Fund will invest a total of $51 billion over 10 years to revitalize local, aging buildings across Canada.
