Borin secures hat trick in 10-3 Chilliwack Chiefs win against Surrey
CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack Coliseum was packed with over 2,000 cheering fans as the Chilliwack Chiefs dominated with double-digit goals this weekend – including a hat trick from latest trade, Boris Borin.
The 17-year-old from Russia joined the team in late October and has played to earn his keep with four goals and one assist against the Surrey Eagles Saturday night (Nov. 9).
Scoring opened at 0:27 of the game from left-winger Jack Plandowski, followed by two unanswered goals by Borin and Captain Nico Grabas in the first period.
Borin and A.J. Schaaf then kicked off scoring in the second period, before the Eagles swapped out their goalie and scored a goal on Chiefs netminder Ben Laurette. Borin responded in kind, securing his first BCHL hat trick at 12:39 of the game.
