Hope RCMP seek witnesses after pedestrian struck, transported to hospital Thursday night

HOPE — Mounties in Hope are appealing to the public for help with their investigation after a pedestrian was struck in Hope Thursday night.

According to a statement from Hope RCMP spokesperson S/Sgt. Mike Sargent, Mounties in Hope were dispatched at 7:05 p.m. Thursday night for the report of a collision between a black Honda Civic and a pedestrian in the area of Queen Street and 3rd Avenue.

Police say a 24-year-old woman suffered minor injuries and was transported to hospital by ambulance. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

“We believe that there may have been other vehicles or witnesses in the area at the time of this incident and we are asking them to contact police.” said S/Sgt. Sargent.
