31-year-old man charged with second-degree murder of woman who was last seen at Fraser Valley hotel
LANGLEY — Homicide investigators in B.C. now say a 31-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder in the disappearance of a 30-year-old woman who last seen at a Langley hotel about a year ago.
According to a statement from IHIT Sgt. Freda Fong, authorities arrested 31-year-old Trenton Henneberg of Port Moody on Friday, October 31 for the homicide of Chantelle Moore. The B.C. Prosecution Service has since approved one count of second-degree murder and one count of indignity to human remains against Henneberg, who remains in custody.
Investigators believe Henneberg and Ms. Moore were known to each other, and this was not a random incident.
“This is the kind of investigation that keeps us up at night,” said Sgt. Fong. “I am so proud of the unwavering dedication and tremendous investigative efforts of our team.”
