CFL passing leaders Mitchell, Rourke top CFL’s division all-star squads
TORONTO — Quarterbacks Bo Levi Mitchell and Nathan Rourke, the CFL’s leading passers this season, headline the Divisional All-CFL teams.
Both teams were unveiled Wednesday. Voting was conducted by the Football Reporters of Canada, nine CFL head coaches and fans.
Mitchell, who threw for a CFL-high 5,296 yards and career-best 36 TDs, was the East selection. Rourke, who was second overall in yards (5,290) and touchdowns (31) was named to the West Divisional squad.
Mitchell was among 11 Hamilton Tiger-Cats selected to the East Divisional contingent, tied for tops along with the Montreal Alouettes. Rourke was one of six B.C. Lions on the West Divisional team as the first-place Saskatchewan Roughriders had 10 players named to the squad.
