Mission RCMP appeal for help in locating stolen surveying equipment

MISSION — Mounties in Mission are asking for public assistance in locating a set of surveying equipment that was stolen overnight.

According to a statement from police, a yellow suitcase-sized box was stolen from a vehicle parked along 14th Avenue between Cedar Street and Hurd Street.

Police say CCTV footage shows a male entering the truck shortly before 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28, and walking away with the case. Mounties say the case contained an assortment of specialized surveying equipment, all of which was yellow in colour and had the brand name “Leica” on it.

Residents along 14th Avenue are asked to check their CCTV footage around 2:30 am on October 28, and to notify police if they captured any related footage. Anyone who sees this yellow case or any of the stolen equipment discarded anywhere, or listed for sale, is also asked to contact Mission RCMP, file 25-13696, 604-826-7161.
