Blue Jays designated hitter Springer leaves Game 3 with apparent injury
LOS ANGELES — Toronto Blue Jays designated hitter George Springer was pulled from Game 3 of the World Series against the L.A. Dodgers after fouling off a pitch in the seventh inning.
Springer grabbed at his right side and asked for the trainer to come out of the dugout.
He was replaced by infielder Ty France, who struck out against Dodgers left-hander Justin Wrobleski. The game was tied 4-4 at the time.
Springer has battled a number of injuries this post-season. He was hit by a pitch in the wrist area in Game 2 at Toronto on Saturday.
