Abbotsford PD officers break windows of Tesla after man allegedly refuses to comply with orders

ABBOTSFORD — Police in Abbotsford say they have arrested a 23-year-old man linked to a flight from police investigation several weeks ago, and who allegedly refused to comply with police orders during his arrest Wednesday afternoon.

According to a statement from AbbyPD spokesperson Sgt. Paul Walker, plainclothes AbbyPD patrol officers located a Tesla in a business parking lot in the 32000 block of South Fraser Way Wednesday afternoon shortly after 2 p.m. Additional officers from patrol along with Gang Crime Unit personnel responded to assist in boxing in the vehicle.

The driver, a 23-year-old man known to police, was wanted on two outstanding warrants at the time for Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Flight from Police, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, and Prohibited Driving.
