Pedestrian dies after being struck by vehicle near U.S.-Canada border in Langley: RCMP
LANGLEY — Mounties in Langley say a pedestrian has died after being struck near the U.S.-Canada border Tuesday morning (Oct. 21).
According to a statement from Langley RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Zynal Sharoom, Langley RCMP members responded at 6:42 a.m. Tuesday for the report of a motor vehicle collision near 264 Street and 0 Avenue in Langley.
RCMP officers attended as did personnel from the British Columbia Ambulance Service and Township of Langley Fire Department. On arrival, they found the pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle.
“Despite immediate life saving measures, the individual succumbed to their injuries at the scene,” said Sergeant Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP.
