Multi-vehicle incident on Vedder Road sends at least 2 to hospital

CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack Fire Department crews, Chilliwack RCMP members and B.C. EHS paramedics were called to the intersection of Vedder Road and Knight Road Tuesday morning for a multi-vehicle collision that sent at least two people to hospital.

The Pulse Point app reveals B.C. EHS paramedics were first alerted about a motor vehicle incident at 10:52 a.m.

Scanner traffic from Chilliwack firefighters revealed that it involved four vehicles.

At least two patients were being transported to hospital, possibly three, according to scanner traffic.

Ambulance and RCMP occupied one lane of southbound Vedder to process the scene and assist the involved parties.

Traffic southbound on Vedder through the area was heavily impacted; motorists used the Staples/Great Canadian Oil Change parking lot to bypass the accident scene on Vedder.
