CHILLIWACK — Over 1,000 people are expected to attend the biggest locally-owned farm auction in the province today to get a look at some of the equipment up for sale in Chilliwack, an event that features free dinner, activities and vendors.

And while the fall equipment auction by Beekman Auctions is strictly online, all equipment will be on site today (Wednesday, October 15) at Heritage Park, 44140 Luckakuck Way, in Chilliwack.

Viewing hours are from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today. Free dinner is at 5 p.m.

Steve Johnson tells Fraser Valley Today it’s going to be a great community event featuring free food, bouncy castles for kids, a mechanical bull and, of course, a chance to see thousands of items up for auction.

“We typically see 1,000 to 1,500 people come out,” Johnson said. “There’s a good social vibe, free food, entertainment and vendors, plus the biggest locally owned farm auction in B.C.”

Beekman Auctions stresses that the sale is an unreserved auction. It says it does its best to accurately describe items, but it’s entirely up to the buyer to ensure items are in working order and measurements are accurate. In other words, prospective buyers should do their homework accordingly.

“It’s going to be a great auction and looking forward to it!” Beekman Auctions said on its website.
